The Order to Learn AI, Step by Step
The most reliable way to learn AI is in this order: Python basics, then machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing (NLP) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and finally building a complete AI application. At about an hour a day, the path takes around four months once you know basic Python.

Why this order works
Each stage uses what the one before it taught. Machine learning teaches you how models learn from data and how to test them. Deep learning builds on that with neural networks. NLP applies those networks to text. RAG combines text models with search over your own documents. The final stage puts everything into one application people can use.
Skipping ahead is possible, but people who jump straight to RAG often struggle to fix problems, because they do not yet know how models are tested and why they fail.

Common questions
How long does it take to learn AI?
After basic Python, about four months at an hour a day to work through machine learning, deep learning, NLP, RAG and a complete AI app. Faster if you study more each day.
Do I need advanced maths to learn AI?
No. School-level maths is enough to start. Each idea is explained with examples, and the code does the calculations.
Can I skip machine learning and start with LLMs or RAG?
You can, but it is harder. Machine learning teaches you how models are tested and why they fail, which you need when your AI app gives wrong answers.
Which bundle covers the learning path?
The Complete AI Library covers every stage. The AI Starter Bundle covers the first three: machine learning, deep learning and NLP.
